This cake has long been our family tradition handed down from my great grandma, to my grandma, to my mom, and now myself. This is a moist, vanilla pound cake covered in CWCs signature buttercream. Dancing out of the cafe today was this pretty in pink ballerina cake. This is an 8" round, four layer high, strawberry cake draped in vanilla buttercream ruffles. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to top all this sweetness with actual baby ballet slippers. Along with two small ornamental slippers on the front as a keepsake. And of course, CWC had to add some bling, with edible white diamond glitter on the ruffles, white lighting around the base, and pink lighting in the slippers. 🩷
Here at CWC, we could "bearly wait" to deliver these cuties. Keeping the Teddy Bear cake pops company, were these adorable bear sugar cookies. What a cute and cuddly way to welcome Baby. Loving this theme! Wishing you all the best! 🍼
Teddy Bears were the theme of a baby shower order at the Cafe today. Starting with these 50 super sweet cake pops. These are a pink strawberry cake, coated in white chocolate candy, decorated with swirls of more white chocolate and dusted with prism glitter. Each cake pop is topped with a tiny chocolate bear that was also made here in the Cafe from melted chocolate candy. 😋
Someone is "oFISHally" turning one soon. So what better smash cake to have for such a theme, but this 6" vanilla fishing bobber. With plenty of sparkle to grab the little ones attention, this cake should be smashed in no time at all. Happy Birthday! 🥳
Well the Artisan Market is over and this girl here is exhausted, but feeling accomplished. Everything went well and we got to meet some new people. And got to see some special people that I haven't seen in forever. Thank you, Jamie Scott for stopping by our booth today! It was so good talking with you! Miss ya guys! And a special shout out to my girls, for their love and support throughout this crazy baking adventure. Long days and late nights, and yet loving every minute of it! Can you say sweet treat? It doesn't get much sweeter than this bad boy. This is a 10", German Chocolate cake layered and covered throughout with a coconut pecan frosting. Decorated around the bottom and top edge with real crushed pecans, and finished off with a Ghirardelli chocolate drip. And let's not forget the real maraschino cherry to top it all off. I hope your birthday is as sweet as this cake! Happy Birthday! 🥳
Happy Monday everybody! Just a reminder that we only have two weeks now until the South Bend Artisan Market at the Century Center! Cake Walk Cafe will have a booth there on March 11th and 12th, so mark your calendars. We'll have plenty of sweet treats for direct purchase. I will also have some displays of my upcoming Easter items, and will be taking pre-orders for those as well. We look forward to seeing y'all there!
And topping off another busy day at CWC, was an order of our popular brownies. These are individually packed sizes of our extra chocolately, fudgy brownies. Topped off with some melted Ghirardelli chocolate with some pink heart sprinkles just to make them even sweeter. (And cuter 🙂) the perfect sweet treat to brighten up this cold and rainy day.
And accompanying that adorable cupcake variety pack, was this Wrigley Field cake. This is a 10" square, three layer, triple chocolate cake. Completely filled and covered in CWCs signature vanilla buttercream. I love making these cakes because there's so many different versions of Wrigley Field cake styles. This one has the Field set into the cake with the crowds of "fans" in the stands. With plenty of lights to light up the field. 😎
A little variety cupcake pack left the Cafe today. A mixture of just a few of the flavors that you can find here at CWC. This pack contained: Red Velvet, Strawberry, Cookies and cream, Butter pecan, Funfetti, and Carrot. 😋
Switching things up a bit at CWC today with these Paleo cupcakes! These are a vanilla paleo cupcake with paleo buttercream. They are done up in the Spartan colors of red and black with edible glitter, which is also Paleo friendly. 🙂 Perfect for those of us that try to avoid white sugar, white flour, etc. These are made with all gluten free ingredients, such as almond flour, coconut oil, honey, maple sugar, to name a few. The perfect healthy alternative to satisfy that sweet tooth. 🦷🧁
Creating this Starbucks cake gave me a craving for Starbucks coffee. Good thing they opened at 6am this morning. Ha This is a large, 10" strawberry flavored cake with vanilla buttercream. The "spilled Starbucks drink" is a combination of swirled pink buttercream frosting and melted pink candy melts. And topping off the decorations are some real 100% strawberry fruit crisps. Accompanying this strawberry delight, are one dozen chocolate mocha coffee cupcakes with a coffee latte buttercream. The perfect combination for this coffee themed birthday party. 😋
